NO, MY GODDAMN "GIRLFRIEND" DID NOT FVCKING DIE. READ YOU IGNORANT ASSHATS.

I've got $100 as of right now, but will have $250 as of this coming Wednesday (next week) that I will be able to spend on video. Well, I really shouldn't spend that much, but I need a replacement and I absolutely refuse to put anything less than another GF4 back in my gaming box. I've been out of the video card market for so long that I don't know what's worth the money anymore.

Ideas?

Man... it's getting me down, too. This card was my baby. :( I bought it online the DAY it came out and it's been roxoren my boxoren ever since.

Damn, should have bought the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro when it was $179 out the door at Fry's B&M.

Make SURE it's not a 128-bit memory model. Make SURE it says 256-bit memory. It's the latest scam they're running on 9800 Pros.

Edit: It's not hard to figure out the right forum either.

I read this as GF too (not GF4). I was like, 'whoa even for Nik that's a pretty extreme topic'

I got a 256MB Radeon 9600 Pro several months back for around $150 and it rocks! Probably cheaper now.

If that were so, it would be his 4th girlfriend. I might be suspicious at that.

This doesn't say either way...

You shouldn't shop at places that aren't newegg or zipzoomfly.

I'm not sure. I left the PC running like I always do. I'm running the United Devices cure for cancer and it's usually restarted every few days just for good measure. Otherwise the computer is running 24/7 whether I'm doing anything on it or not. I turned off the monitor to go watch a movie. When I came back, the monitor said it wasn't getting a signal. I checked the cabling and it's all fine. I felt the box and the box was still running. CPU fan was going, HDD was skipping around every so often, but the fan on the card wasn't spinning. So I hit a few keys on the keyboard and moved the mouse, but nothing. I never remember to change the power options after fresh installs not to shut the monitor off. Anyway, I thought that I'd mistakenly left it to shut the monitor off, but no. I restarted the PC and the fan on the card didn't spin up. No posting beeps either. Curious...

Why? They have pretty good reseller ratings.

They tell you nothing about that card. You don't even know if you're getting a built by ATI or what.

Seriously. Stop thread crapping. Stop making jokes about my "girlfriend" and stop making jokes about my Lindsay Lohan affliction.

Um... it says "ATI Radeon" -by that, they really mean "NVidia Radeon" right?

That's the card that I'll probably get come next week.
