She's not crazy, and I doubt she needs help. She just wants to feel that your truly value the relationship. That's why she was bothered by your answer. I have had a couple of girlfriends who liked to asked those kind of minefield questions. The way I dealt with them was to laugh and say "ah another minefield you want me to step in". After a while they catch on.

When my friends get asked those questions when I'm around, I yell (in my Admiral Acbar voice) "Its a trap!"
