My GF is freaking nuts

She asked me if I'd break up with her for a million dollars and Id never be able to see her again.

So I said "definitely".

And then she got pissed.

You should have known better than to answer that question truthfully. You should have said, "No honey, I wouldn't want to lose you for all the money in the world." It's not the truth, but it would have kept you out of trouble.

LMAO, that's gold. Did you reinforce it with a "What?!? What did I do?!?!"

I have had a couple of girlfriends who liked to asked those kind of minefield questions. The way I dealt with them was to laugh and say "ah another minefield you want me to step in". After a while they catch on.

WTH is the point of asking such a dumb question anyway? She got what she deserved. Mind games = teh $uck.

I seriously think shes gone off the deepend. Im going to ask her if she wants to go see a shrink.
She's not crazy, and I doubt she needs help. She just wants to feel that your truly value the relationship. That's why she was bothered by your answer. Because it seemed like you'd be willing to just give her up for money. She didn't want a truthful answer. She wanted an answer that made her feel better about the relationship.
