Oh, and definitely don't feel bad. They may be your friends, and maybe they'll be pissed, but had they lived on the streets in Seattle for a few weeks/months, they might've wished someone had caught them and sent them home.

Yeah, they'd get sick of the constant smell of coffee.

Not to mention all of the trendy, pretentious garage rock.

:lips:

i guess they don't carry a cell phone around? that sucks... hopefully they will stay out of trouble... good luck

Call all the pawn shops in the area and ask about two boys trying to sell a guitar. What is their motive? Do they have any money?

TBH, they really don't have a motive, they just wanna leave this small town and be without parents. I don't think he would sell his guitar though.

Let them go. They don't seem dangerous or have any intent on harming themselves or others. If their home life isn't good, their parents won't care that they're gone.

Unless they have money for a hotel they can't be doing much tonight... Seattle shuts down around 7PM unless you're 21+... and even then it's not too exciting, especially on a Monday night.

Have you guys called all the hotels in the area?

Garyt's is great, seriously could not be better. Nosaj's isn't too bad, just a mean mom.

Bah...kids and their "problems." Just wait until adulthood...childhood will seem much easier.

OTOH, I certainly don't blame them for wanting out of Yakima...real shithole, heavily infested with illegal immigrants.

(yes, I have been there...several times. I helped build I-82 in the late 70's, but was mostly down near Prosser)

Yea. Kids do retarded things, 160 miles isn't shit. Things could be better or worse for them and ultimately they'll either return home or be better off.

Edit: Upon reading "mean mom" above, I've concluded your friends are idiots. They should be beat until sense is knocked into them.

Wow, so if I ever need private information from Greyhound then I just have to pretend some friends ran away...

Yeah this OP is full of it (if they were looking to hide, why use a known alias?)....

we are talking about two 16 year olds that ran away and not a couple of kidnapped kids.

let them be and learn whatever lesson they shall learn.

Greyhound doesn't require absolute ID to purchase tickets. They don't have a privacy policy, so any information you give them they can and will give out to people who ask.

One of my friends here who doesn't have a car will take Greyhound over to Austin pretty frequently, and gives out the name "Dr. Doom" and/or "Dane Drous" (Dangerous)... he says usually the clerk just kinda laughs at him, then processes the ticket or whatever.

LOL yeah, I totally lied about it. Idiot.

I'll be down in the ID around 5, major connection point for buses and one of the best places downtown to disappear. I'll keep an eye out for them. PM me your phone number, just in case?

personally i think they are old enough to make their own decisions regarding where they live and how they support themselves

however, i don't think the law agrees, so good luck finding them. i dont think it will be hard.
