I just did a little detective work and found out that my 16 year old friends ran away to Seattle on a bus from Yakima Washington (160 miles). I called Greyhound and found out that they left this afternoon and they used a fake name.

I had to call his parents who were worried sick and tell them that they will be in Seattle in an hour. They are calling SPD to pick em up the moment they get off that bus.

Should I feel bad? These kids think they can make it in Seattle on a hope, a prayer, and a guitar.

EDIT: The police could not find them, they took an earlier bus it seems, and is escalated to a higher level.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR EYES OUT FOR THESE KIDS, IF YOU SEE THEM, PLEASE DROP ME A PM OR CONTACT THE POLICE, OR BOTH

SPD has been contacted, and are looking for them. The one of Garyt is kind of hold, he has gained weight. Garyt is about 6'1" and 240 lbs, and will have a guitar unless he sold it, and Jason (goes by Nosaj) is about 6'1"-6'2" and like 150 lbs.

Garyt
Nosaj

Also, if you are religious, pray that these guys are safe, and if you aren't, please just wish them the best.

You live in Yakima? I feel so sorry for you. No wonder they ran away, that place is a pit.

Edit:

Oh, and definitely don't feel bad. They may be your friends, and maybe they'll be pissed, but had they lived on the streets in Seattle for a few weeks/months, they might've wished someone had caught them and sent them home.

Wait... what exactly did you ask the Greyhound guys?

I was just like, hey, I have some friends who have maybe run away, they have been talking about going to Portland or Seattle. She asked for last name, I told her. She asked for first name (Jason), no luck. He goes by Nosaj however, and sure enough, he bought a ticket leaving Yakima at like 3 and arriving in Seattle at 6:40.

Wow, so if I ever need private information from Greyhound then I just have to pretend some friends ran away...

Meh, I would've let them realize on their own that it was a bad idea. But don't feel bad about calling the parents, either.

Yeah, they'd get sick of the constant smell of coffee.

I am curious why Greyhound just handed this information over to you.

Probably because they were the only people who had departed Yakima on a Greyhound bus in the past week. That they bought tickets in Yakima and were riding on the bus was probably suspicious enough.

Not to mention all of the trendy, pretentious garage rock.

Another confirmation that you did the right thing ... they may be mad at you for awhile but my bet is that down the road they'll be grateful.

I probably would have let them sit there until I was sure they had started performing sex acts on 50+ year old men for food money.
