My friend is a really beautiful girl. She's smart, intelligent, and everyone likes her. And most guys drool over her.
Most people think she's cocky and unppreciative though. Some people think she is so cocky that they can't even stand her. She knows this now, and is so frustrated. She claims to have really low self-esteem, not think she's pretty at all, hate herself, etc.
Well, at first I thought it was all an attention getter. People do stuff for her, and she doesn't say thank you a lot. She says its because she wasn't brought up to show appreciation, even though she appreciates what people do for her.
For instance, today I gave her my old laptop after spending about 6 hours getting it working, and didn't get a thank you or anything. Yet an hour later, she was wondering why people think she's cocky.
Is it really and truly possible to not think you're pretty even though every guy drools over you, and also, to wonder why people think you're cocky and why they think you are unappreciative when people do so much and she never shows any thanks?
Just wondering...
