My friend thinks cow tipping is real

does tipping a cow over while it's asleep cause the cow to die?

next question.... can you even actually 'tip' a cow over (or will it just run away)?

Cow tipping is when you go up to a cow in a field and push it over. No I have never done it, but yes I am from a town that USED to (note used to, like 18 yrs ago) have more cows then people, and cows were tipped over. It's not a good thing. Cows aren't ment to lay on their sides. You'll notice that they always lay on their stomachs. Cows these days can't support their weight on their sides, and if people aren't careful "tipping them" (alhtoug caution isn't the point, people think it's funny) a cow can actually break their ribs or die when pushed over. Personally, I always thought riding a cow drunk was better then pushing one over...

speaking of riding a cow.... cow pic

is that you when you were drunk?

Not me, LOL. I ride horses and someone posted that on a thread about cow riding. I just thought it fit into this fourm.. I wish I could ride a cow that good, lol. Damn bony and they arent exactally happy about it, and if you aren't careful where you fall off.... hehe... nothing like being drunk and covered in cow chips. J/K I have never fallen in cow dung, but there is only so much to do when drunk in a small town where the only place to drink is in a field, you alreayd ride horses, and have to show up the guys who are too scared to do anything.

I always thought that people just did it because they were fun to push over, I never realized that the cows could die when they did this. You would have to be a total asshat to kill some guys cow just for fun.

Cow tipping is real.

My friends did it down the street from me over the summer.

They say to watch out though because when you startle a cow when it is sleeping in a field they will moo and stampede towards you.

But, they did go cow tipping and they did push over some cows.

My town is cool...

in highschool, someone created an extra-curric group whose focus was against cow-tipping. 😀

i think they just wanted their pic taken in the yearbook 😛

I don't think they usually die from it. I think the thrill is that the cow falls overs because it is asleep. Anyway the kids in my hometown thought so.

Its definitly real, take it from a Wisconsin cheesehead. I have done it many times while I was in high school.

I have never heard of them dying from it though!
They usually just MOOOOO really loud and roll around till they can get up again.

It's not real, it's pure BS. Ever notice that every discussion on this topic is "my friends did it..." or "I know a guy who had a roommate in college that did it..."? Nobody actually tips cows, it's one of those things that gets passed from generation to generation by the truly gullible who believe the guy down the hall who says that he did it once. We live in an age where everyone has access to a camcorder and where every act known to man is videotaped ad infinitum. I defy anyone to produce a video of an actual cowtipping and not just 3rd-hand lies about somebody who claims to have done it. The next time you run into a person that claims to have tipped a cow, offer to drive him to the nearest farm and say you'll pay $100 to watch him do it. Watch how fast they back down.

I said I never did it, but Ihave seen it done. I jsut didn't partake. So yes it is real. And while cows dont' always get hurt, it is possible. And it is very hard for them to get back up. It's a very sad thing to see.
