Her: Why are they digging that big hole?
Me: So they can set the end of that new light pole in concrete.
Her: So why do they put the concrete in a hole?
Me: Well, if they didnt set the end of the pole and the concrete underground it'd tip over.
Her: But the concrete sticks it to the parking lot.
Me: No, you cant really use concrete like glue to stick stuff to pavement.
Her: Wow, I thought all these light poles were just stuck to the parking lot by the cement.
Me: You mean sorta like they just stick buildings to the ground with summa that sticky cement?
Her: They do? I thought the basements held them down.
Me: Hmmmm....maybe the basement is what keeps 'em from getting sucked into a tornado.
Her: Exactly. That's why I wanted a house with a basement.

I kid I kid it's just that I've never seen that sort of PhD level logic before.:D

Did you know, in Memphis, TN, it is illegal for a woman to drive a car unless there is a man walking/running in front of it waving a red flag? If only it was enforced...
