I love A Christmas Story. It perfectly sums up the holidays for every small town kid. Even though it takes place in the 40s, it's timeless. I do hate It's a Wonderful Life and refuse to watch it. It's so cheesy. Not James Stewart's best work.

During this season every year I now watch It's a Charlie Brown Kwanzaa, which wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for the wonderful internet. The part where Charlie threatens the hoes with Booger Hooking them all the way to Frisco really warms my heart.

There's a whole generation of people that movie relates to, and is a dead-on representation of Christmas life in that period. If you were born from the 1920's to as late as the 1970's, you will be familiar with a lot of the scenes in that movie from your own life.

The 80's and 90's kids have no clue what is going on and thing most of that stuff is made up. The reason the movie is funny is because THAT'S WHAT LIFE WAS ACTUALLY LIKE.

To say the movie hasn't aged well is not accurate at all. It's an ageless movie, but the generations that can fully appreciate it are dying off.
