Actually, that's exactly what he did!

Yeah but he didn't give us any details.

I always find it weird when guys parade their girlfriends around and you think everything is going well for them and then wham! You find out that they broke up.

Sort of like Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise. They seemed so happy in their pictures. And then suddenly they broke up. And I still can't figure out why. Someone should write a book on relationships and explain this to guys like me who have never been in a relationship. I really would like to know why relationships break up. When people do talk about it, it's only in vague terms that only somebody who's been in a relationship would understand.

Of course in public cruise and kidman want to appear together, as does almost any couple. Plenty of people put on a show in public so as not to warrant speculation and questions, whereas behind closed doors they're sick of each other.

Relationships break up for any number of reasons such as the two people having different goals or because one or both of them are selfish and can't empathize with the other's needs. Then others have unrealistic expectations of what a relationship should be like.

"How are you, you're posting a real name and claim to "recall." WTH do you have against notfred?"

Huh? Zim Hosein, when did I state or imply that I have anything against Notfred? Huh? So I remember those things means that I'm not confused? He just said "my ex". For all I know, it could have been someone else. Maybe he met someone in between that period, or maybe he's referring to someone from long ago. He still had Eshrai's pics in his gallery, which usually people delete when it's over between them.

When did the name Brianna become a secret? Two members posted it before I ever did, and his site link had the name. Also, the nick Eshrai was not a secret. She's posted here on occasion. The number of years they've dated is no secret either, since he posted it in this thread as well as another: How Long. So WTH do you have against me?

Must I have a motive for posting what I recollect? You want to sue me for having a strong long-term memory? I read threads like anyone else, and I remember the details in the threads without efforts most of the time. Sue me for performing excellent in history courses. Go ahead and sue me for having such vivid memory, please. By the way, great thing you're now a spokesman for how Notfred feels.

Back on topic: After your response about deleting the pics, Notfred, I suppose it is the same lady, Eshrai, you are referring to. I certainly understand your feeling. There's always a chance in life sometimes. If it's meant to be, she or you will have that chance again. If not, you can move on with whatever lessons you've obtained from your long-term relationship and use it toward "perfecting" your next relationship. Best of luck to Eshrai and you!

Funny, I've seen notfred freely bash and flame in other YAGTs.

Turnabout is fairplay.

Can you possibly be more annoying? I seriously doubt it!

"Can you possibly be more annoying? I seriously doubt it!"

Not more than you, Red Dawn! ;) So you would be right that I couldn't be more. . . .

I don't think asking to whom someone refers and wishing someone a bright future or recovery is transgressional. :)

I might be a bigger asshole but I seriously doubt that I or anybody else on this forum is as annoying as you.

RD may try to be an asshole but I see through it and into the sweet, kind, heart that is within him. Can't fool me, mister!

Hey, your feeling as anyone elses. LOL! Do you care to define "annoying"? It appears we might have different perceptions or associated attributes of "annoying". Besides, I see a stark contrast in posts where members jump upon an individual and claim they are the most annoying members. So help me here, brother! :p

By the way, don't you think encouraging a diversion within this thread would be more annoying than even an individual could be? So on that note, just give me an intensional definition of "annoying". I'll read but won't respond. Fair, hon'?

I got your "Hon" right here! I guess all the others who say you are extremely annoying are mistaken too!

Storm Rider, Skoorb has given you a response, but here's my input:

Indeed, reasons for breaking varies from person to person. Amongst married people, the common reasons experts claim for divorces/break ups is money. For relationships generally, the common reason is cheating. Sometimes people just grow tired of each other or realise they cannot get along. Reasons vary from persons to persons.

Why people hide their problems and pretend everything is dandy: I think it's a combination of two things . . . ego associated with competition and expectations. I remember when I would fake it to give a false sense that things were going great . . . I didn't want people to know it was going down. You see other people whom things seem to be going so well for, so you wonder if yours is all your fault. Would you want to let others know that you're a failure? Although it isn't usually an individual's fault, we tend to fault ourselves anyway and feel we have failed. You also have people, foes, praying for failure between you two, and you don't want to satisfy that envy and malice. Sometimes it is translated as privacy, but ultimately it's for such reasons. There's the enormous pressure too from peers to make everything look perfect. They'll lead you on, say you two are a perfect couple, look good together, he's (or she's) so good-looking, etc. It's just a combination of factors. We want to show off to others, even if everything isn't perfect as depicted, as well as believe that we can work things out.

Hope some day you can answer the question yourself through an actual relationship you experienced. *CheerZ to you!* :D

Hopefully. I think a lot of girls would see it as a gift and something to take with them to "make up for all the time I invested".
