My entire C++ class has been supsended except me

hAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Sorry this is hilarious. Me and two other people are left in my C++ class now, for the first 3 days of next week it will be only us three. Every other single student in that class has been busted for installing Quake III on their computers (that's right all of them), which is apparently a violation of school code, and they've been suspended for three days starting next week. Three people in the class...haha that's hilarious.

To be honest, I never understood suspensions. "Yeah um, we're gonna punish you rebels by letting you sleep in and not come to school, which you hate coming to."

<< university or hs? becuase if it's university, being suspended would suck ass. >>

I've never heard of being suspended from university...

Good luck installing Quake 3 on the computers used in C++ in my school - their Pentium 100's...

That's pretty hilarious. Considering that we play Quake III, Red Alert, and some other game (it's kinda like starcraft, but diff.) all the time. Hell, I go into that room during lunch (it's his off hour, and he doesn't give a damn if I play on the net), and half the time he's sitting there playing games. hehe.

Now, during class-time, unless we have our programs done, you don't play games whatsoever. There are only 8 of us in that class, out of our entire high school (500 people in 9-12th). Next semester, it's going to be QUITE a bit smaller; especially considering the fact that he's going to ask several individuals to leave (they don't know what the hell they're doing). A lot of people don't care to learn C++; I think it's pretty damn fun, especially with the very open-ended atmosphere that we have.

we had quite a few students suspended from my school (Purdue University) for the riots we had after the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship

Well, I think in theory, if your class has any homework due or tests while they're suspended, they get zeros on that work and can't make it up.

If that's not the way it is, it's the way it should be. Otherwise, I'm with you; I don't understand suspensions. 😕

Yup, that happened to us too. We were playing CS in the lab during the lunch and got kicked out, cu'z the reason for it was that no violence, no GUNS!

hahaah. thats why our c++ class just sticks to hearts and minesweeper. but then its all over q3 style when we get a sub

Hahahha.......it reminds me of our programming class, all we did last year is try to install every single program to piss our teacher off and get yelled at but she didn't do anything. This year, she doesn't care what we do. 😀

i dont see how it's funny. if i was suspended for something stupid like that i would be pissed. and why didnt you get in on the q3 action?

The school needs to loosen up! But then again, it's high school and high school is all about adolescent control.

I really think it is the teachers to blame they should have had the computer set where nothing can be installed or added to the hard drive.
The students are the victims.

if his school is anything like mine the computer teachers know very little about computers.
