You can aslo get your dad to buy your computer bydoing better in school. I think that is more valuable than getting a part time job and being distracte from your studies.

Seriously though. Lighten up about the morality, life, voodoo, self respect lesson. If he's a good person, he's not going to be swayed to destroy his computer. Obviously he is and is still the computer. We already gave him enough options to consider. Seriously though, if he has to go to an internet forum to learn how to be a better person than his dad is not doing his job. I found some of these posts to be quite amusing. Liket he water in the PSU. hahah....damn that computer would be so owned.

He's going to have to work for like 10 years before he gets enough money to buy a system like yours LOL. He's only 15. Probably get minimum wage. Which is only about 7/h bucks in Cali.

OK...I'm bailing on this "Leave it to Beaver" thread...this is so lame. OP, if really weren't thinking of destroying your computer, you shouldn't ask for suggestions...this whole thread was waste of time for everyone...(although the morality/life/respect lesson teachers got a workout)...

If you get more ram, you might not need to buy a new computer at all. Of course, this depends on what you use your computer for. It's obviously not suited for video editing or even running some high end games. If you use it just for music and office programs and whatnot, you'll find a significant improvement if you get some more ram (>512 or even 1gb maybe).

But if you do want to break your computer, I've always wanted to see a processor turn on without a heatsink (on an Athlon of course).
