My favorite named workout, by far. Nice improvement!

thanks! i think what helped me was that i paced myself instead of trying to go all out in the first couple of rounds. not that i was taking it easy, mind you.

I've always found that Cindy is self-pacing for me, so I'm curious what your approach was. For me, my pushups are my limiting factor. I can bang out a lot of pullups and air squats. Usually my first ten rounds or so are done in well under 1 min / round. After that, arm fatigue slows down my pushups, which in turn gives my body more than enough time to recover for the other two exercises.

The most I've ever done in Cindy is 21 rounds and it was the pushups that killed me at the end (getting one at a time basically).

pushups are where i failed as well. by pacing i meant that i did pushups at a slightly slower, steadier, less intense pace instead of going as fast as i could which is what i did the first time. i did pullups and squats unbroken and at the same pace as i did the first time. interestingly, i wouldn't ordinarily consider pushups to be a weakness for me, rather the opposite. there's just something about this wod that brings my pushups to a crawl typically doing 5 then resting then doing 3 then resting then doing 2 for the last few rounds.

5 rounds for time of:

30 double-unders
20 box jumps 24" (my box is 19")
10 kettlebell swings 53# (i only had 50# dumbbell)

time: 12:28.84

it was so ridiculously hot yesterday evening that this was the wod i picked instead of doing another longer one. and yes, it suxored.

I think I'd take most anything over 100 burpees. Bring on Fran, I'd rather do that or FGB.

Re: the heat... I did Cindy yesterday. It was 95 degrees or so. I was surprised at how much it slowed me down, so I can imagine what it did to your burpees.

4 rounds for time of:

500m row (I subbed 50 sumo deadlift high pull 45#)
25 toes to bar

Time: 25:25.52

Man I was so tired today. I think my forearms/grip prevented me from doing the toes to bar any faster.
