My cat just died :(

I was just using the computer a few minutes ago. Then, my mom, in tears, says to me, Rusty is dead. Rusty is the name of my cat. I am so shocked. He showed no signs of sickness, disease, or anything. Nothing. He was an awesome cat. And the saddest thing was that he was only 8 years old.

I had him for the last 6 years. I am 16 now. Through those 6 years, he has been my buddy: where nobody would listen to me, I would always have him to pet.

Now's he gone. I am incredibly sad. :(

:( That's so sad, are you going to get any tests done or anything to find out the cause of death? Was he an outdoor cat?

No, he was not an outdoor cat. The doctor says there isn't much we can do to find the cause of death.

Thanks for the support guys.

I really sorry to hear that. At least he died peacefully.

We have three cats, all brothers, Erik, Buster, and Moe. Their mother, Pepper, was hit by a car right before my eyes and then died in my arms.

I know how you feel. I lost my pet budgie last year. We had her for 10 years, but she was probably much older than that because we bought her as an adult. She was with me from grades 3-13, so she was definitely an integral part of my growing up. I still miss her today.

We've lost some cats over the years. The worst was when all of us kids were really young, we had this really fiesty cat that would attack my mother's clients (wedding photographer working out of the home), and because of the liability issue she had it put to sleep and told us that it had died during an operation. We didn't find out until four or five years later.

Now we have two cats, and they are great . . . although not as friendly as I would like them to be . . you actually gotta chase them down.

I'm sorry to hear that.
I found out today that Duncan, my nephew's cat, died back in January.
He always remembered me when I visited.

Awwwww.... :(. That really sucks man. I've lost a few cats over the years to one thing or another and it's never easy. A cat that I had grown up with died last summer and I was really crushed. I still keep a picture of him on my desk to remind me of him. He was such a character, and I'm getting teary-eyed right now just thinking about all the stuff he used to do. Cats *are* people, I swear.

Wow, aweful timing, my bro's 20 year old cat just croaked as well.

Kitty-death. :(

The same thing happened to one of my cats when i was about 12, so i can relate. I'm so sorry to hear that.
