This is not a joke. I'm serious. She somehow jumped from the balcony and climbed up to a tree next to our house.

I know that she can come down because she either jumped down or fell earlier, but she quickly climbed up against before I could grab her. She now climbed up even higher and has been meowing for hours.

What do I do?

Don't call the fire department. They'll cut down the tree if they bother to respond at all.

Some cats will come down on their own, but some cats have been known to stay up a tree for days. They get too scared to come down and end up dehydrated and/or falling out and getting injured.

I'd call someone.

Nah. Spitzer or a hollow point works better. They sleep REAL good.

Just grab the tree, shake like hell, and make real loud wierd noises. Your cat will know you mean business and come down.

WHOOP WHOOP BAHHHH NARGGLE WHOMP!!!! ~Shake tree violently~

I'm telling ya, if he did my "WHOOP WHOOP BAHHHH NARGGLE WHOMP!!!!" thing, the cat would be down already.

It makes the cat come down faster if your neighbors see you do this.

I'd call someone.

Who do I call, though?

With our cats, I just had to open a can of food and settle down for a minute. They came down on their own.

I tried that trick but she didn't react to it.

Could it be that she's looking for a mating partner? I heard from someone that some cats do this.

haha this reminds me when one of our cats got stuck in a tree across the street for a couple days. theres like 2 or 3 big evergreen trees, we couldnt see the cat at all but for 3 days all you would hear was meowing coming out of the tree's somewhere. it eventually came down and was fine.

Screw her and see if she comes down. That will answer your question.

She'll probably come down on her own but we live in an apartment condo, so I'm afraid that she might get lost.

She's tattooed and registered, so I hope that things will be fine. I have no idea what to do with her.

Well, you have these options....

1) Climb tree.

2) Remove cat from ground.

3) Let cat come down on its own.

You've ruled out one and three it seems, so you are running out of options.
