:(

He keeps going into the bathtub looking for water, tomorrow might be the day for him. I don't think he can drink anymore, he'll get out of the tub then manage to jump onto my bed all wet and just lay there lifelessly. I try to at least play with him using my laser pointer because he'd always chase it, but he just looks at it now and doesnt even put a paw out.

Update: Sister took him to the vet to be put asleep while I was at work, RIP buddy.

Yeah, last week he said his organs might be in the process of shutting down, but he didn't look as bad as he does now then.

My cat started acting like that when she was 17. She did nothing but eat and sleep for 3 years until she died.

are you going to perform a ritual before your cat passes?

I was watching Stargate:Atlantis the other day and they did this totally hooky ritual for some old broad that was passing away...it was embarassing.

.....

 did I just show my geek-face?

BTW that sucks. Hope its not painful for the kitty. Do you have other pets/going to get another cat?

Yeah, there's one more left out of the 4 we use to have. Squeaky died about a year ago, I even remember posting when that happened to. Sucky times, but both of them were just old and lived a fat-cat of a life.

A good cat is a great friend. Sorry to hear you're losing your friend. :(

I had a 15 lb. black tom named Eli. On a cold winter night, his favorite thing to do was dive under the covers and full-length body snuggle.

When my cat got old and developed feline leukemia, and when he got to the point when he couldn't even eat, it was time to let him go. I had a great vet who helped. He knew how much I cared about Eli, and he offered to let me come up to his house and bury him in the hillside.

My thoughts are with you and your kitty friend.
