Explain this to me lol...I have a '94 Grand AM SE V4 version...had it maybe 2 weeks. When I first got it, it was insanely slow. But over the last few days, it seems to be having faster and faster accelleration... how is this possible?

<< did you recently get a VTEC sticker or clear corners? :D >>

Perhaps it was a BMW emblem :)

Maybe you are using a higher octane gas than what was in there before. Maybe the fuel additives have helped to clean out the injectors.

Different fuel is possible, what about the weather? Was it hot and humid when you bought the car, and cooler and drier now?

Maybe it just sat awhile without being driven before you got it. After driving it a bit, everything got worked back in.

i agree with the other proposals that it maybe due to different octane fuel, weather conditions, etc.

but you said you got this car 2 weeks ago right? any car's computer is very "smart" meaning it adjusts to the way you drive. if the person who owned the car before you drove very consertively, then it makes adjustments for fuel efficiency, braking, accelerating, etc. if you drive more agressively, then over time the computer realizes this and adjusts for more power and better performance. i'm not saying this IS the reason, but it could be :p

Did you put a VTEC sticker on it? I've heard that adds 100hp easily to most cars.

My best friend does the same thing and it drives me nuts! :D I've never corrected him though because everyone seems to get a kick out of it.

Did you get heavier footwear?

Maybe you hit a time warp and the world around you is going slower now.

I would tend to agree with there being something stuck somewhere. Change the fuel filter, swap the plugs and wires. I had a 94 GMC 1500 that would loose power going up hills (not big hills but just a gentle incline). I changed the fuel filter and there was a world of difference.
