anyway, dude, ask if you can take the car to a shop of your preference if you do not feel confident with your insr. com. dealing with their own specified shops.

I suggest you take the car to the place (?dealer) that you want it to be repaired at, and have them deal with the insurance company. You can insist on a reputable dealer. They are much more experienced in these matters.

If your insurance policy and state laws allow it, have it repaired to your satisfaction (pay deductable if necessary) thru your policy. Your insurance will then recover what they can from whoever they can and owe you the deductable if they collect in full. That's why you pay them.
