My brothers viper alarm started going haywires but it was an older model that doesn't have ignition immobilization. The remote would not arm/disarm the unit, the turn signals would blink, and the siren would not work. He just ripped it out and tossed it.

Put a new battery in your remote.

Some remote batteries are 12 volt, so you can power the remote from the car battery with some wire and alligator cllips. I did that once at a Goodyear place when my remote went dead and they didn't have the right battery there.

the brain is more than likely under your dashboard below your steering wheel. There is a ~20something wire harness plugging into a black box. Just unplug it and your car will fire right up.

That or he could simply use the kill switch. Unless of course his ghetto install did not include said switch.

not if the starter kill is hooked up.

I CALLED THE F'IN MANUFACTURER, USED MY DEALER ID, AND GOT THE EXACT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS GUY. HE IS S.O.L.

He is not SOL. If he pulls the main harness he can follow the wires and reconnect the OEM wires to over ride starter kill. I did it in my Blazer.

If he can't figure out how to push a valet button, he sure as hell cannot figure out which wire is his starter wire.

Could I tell him?? Yep
Will I now? Nope

All he has to look for is the breakage in a main OEM wire. :p
