Is there a phone number on the back of your remote?

I'm close to being your situation. Lost 1 remote, 2nd isn't working very well. I don't use it just in case I can't get the car going again.

there is a small black button someone under your dash or on your floorboard on the driver's side. Have the door open, hold down that button, and start your car.

All Viper (DE) alarms sell with 2 remotes. Why don't you use your other remote? There are many ways to disable an alarm (if you have unrestricted access to the vehicle), but I don't feel like giving out that info on an internet board until you answer that question.

Just call Directed. They are great about this kind of thing.

The remote registers when the door is open and the alarm is going off but will not disarm/unlock, arm/lock, or remote start it.

On my mom's car she has a little red button under the dash near the hood release latch and you put the key into the on position and hold the red button for 5 - 10 seconds and you'll hear the siren chirp a couple of times and it disarms it.

what kind of car? And please make sure you have the exact model number of your unit.

I will call Direct Techs (Directed's installer support line) and see if they have any hints.

with your driver's side door open, turn your key to the "on" position. Press and hold the black button down for one second, then crank the engine.

Is the LED lighting up when you press the button? My remote stopped working when the LED was pushed in and broke the connection. I had to resolder it but it works fine now.

I just told you exactly what to do. If you cannot do it, then you need to wait until the morning. Then have your car towed to the dealer that installed it and have them fix it.

I hate to be rude, but I stuck my neck out for you on this one. That is how to do it.

i got stranded in the middle of an intersection with my viper going nuts. I had to have it towed to my house. The brain ended up getting fuxored up some how, so I just pulled it and my car started right up. Directed has a lifetime guarantee, so if you pull it and send it out, they will replace it for free.
