No...it's insurance claim (his insurance will go after the Ford's insurance for reimbursement and medical), medical, then lawsuit, and NOW.

Gotta love America. Sue happy country. But then again, it's a justified lawsuit.

He's alright too hopefully.

He can salvage the engine and any other important parts and sell it. But, to tell you the truth, they (insurance) will not fix the car. It's better just a to a new one. Probably cost too much to fix.

I must say, that WRX handled the impact quite well.

I've been rearended by a F-150 at around 50km/h in our old 91 Corolla. Nothing happened to us, but the car's rear end turned into an accordian.

It's a F350. Much, much bigger than a F150.

Wolfmans in CT, the process doesn't work like that.

Assuming that the WRX was at a stop and the F-350 hit him at 40mph in the right rear, I am extremely impressed by how well the WRX stood up. I mean, the right rear tire isn't even damaged in any way.
Before your friend gives his car back to the insurance company (they will total it), he should return it to stock by selling the Subzeros and tires, and the painted side skirts (and any other mods I can't see).

What the hell are you talking about? Ford Motor Co. is not liable in this accident.

And the WRX will be totalled. That means that the insurance will buy him a new car and will take the WRX. He will not be allowed to part it out.

Wow.. that looks exactly like my wreck. Tell your roomate to start seeing a LOT of doctors now. I didn't think I was hurt at first and now I'm still hurting almost a year later.

No, not Ford Motor Co., but the driver of the Ford! ;)

He may be given the option to buy the car back, but that will cost a lot anyway.

RIP, WRX :(
