I propose we reduce all speed limits by 10 mph. If every crash occurred at 10mph less, fewer people would die. Any person who values human life should support this.

(sarcasm, because sometimes, we do value freedom over human life)

Errrm when?

Doesn't apply to you or anyone else in La La Land, Europe.

But another example: Why do governments allow planes, ships, trains, cars, or anything at all for that matter, since lots of people die in them even when the best precautions are taken and accidients still happen? Is it worth thousands of lives lost every year just so we don't have to walk?

Speed limits keep going up here. People are starting to figure out, that on the highway, where most people want to drive fast in the first place, is the place where there is the least chance of accident. The only accidents on freeways are generally rush hour fender benders when traffic is congested or people going too SLOW.

True that. Because a nanny state like the UK is where freedom truly exists. 🙄

The reason people call us a nanny state is that we have an excellent welfare system, I don't see the problem.

I'd argue we are just as free than the US of A, more so in some cases.

Right, and this is the Garage. So how about when you see something that has to do with US culture you disagree with, you make a post in OT or P&N rather than troll our already heavily trolled garage.

I posted about speeding, in a thread where someone confesses to speeding, the rest someone else brought up.

The issue which you're already aware of, is not about speeding. It's about your apparent ignorance of the way things work here in the US. This is not the forum to derail threads due to you feigning ignorance of how things work here.

This is a US forum, and specifically a US automotive forum. Almost everything is different in relation to vehicles between here and the UK, and all you do here is question those differences. This is not the place for it, or if you want to make your own single thread that's fine.. But literally every topic you involve yourself in just so happens to degrade to an argument about why things are the way they are in the US.

It'd be different if you were at least helpful, but even your "tips" are not-so-subtle ploys to recommend cars you know aren't available here and then make comments and derail based on that.

How about you do us all a favor and create one "Why are things like this in US" garage thread and post all your US/UK questions in there?

No, this was about speeding.

We all know what arguing with you is about, and I'm not going to sit here and entertain your trolling needs. You know what you're doing, we know what you're doing, and you've definitely established a pattern - this thread is a perfect example of it.

Don't get yourself even further lumped in with the other ATG trolls.

Alkemyst's boasting irritates me, him boasting about driving irresponsibly and illegally irritated me even more, the other week people were ripping apart a member who confessed to drink driving, I see no difference between that and this.

That was in OT...this is the Garage. Why don't you cut your losses in this thread and leave it be....

Dude, it's not boasting. I know I am better than you.

Being American and now living in the UK, I think I have to disagree.

OK. I still maintain it was an important point to make.
No, it wasn't. This is NOT OT so back out of this thread before vacations are issued.

Why do you voluntarily participate in things that irritate you? You don't have to open his threads.
Best advice so far in this thread. Now why don't you all listen to it, bring it back on topic before I lock it. If this keeps up, from here on out, be prepared for vacations.

You were warned, you chose not to heed my advice and posted a useless "nef" post directly after my mod warning. Enjoy a 3 day vacation.

Neat, a silver 5th gen 3 series.
Literally every bachelor in my city has one of those.

Edit: I would drive one if I could afford it. 😀
