Also, the X-Type has nothing at all to do with the Taurus and is only a very, very distant cousin of the Mondeo. These two cars do not share parts and are very, very different.

Ha thanks for the comments. Interesting to see what some people prefer and what others don't. I didn't get it in a manual mainly because I haven't had much experience with the car and my dad wants to drive it here and there as well. I'll try to redo the pics in the day time for the person who mentioned it. Thanks guys!

Yeah they do.

Jaguar says about 20 percent of the X-Type's components are shared with the Mondeo. The actual figure probably depends on the precise definition of "component" and "sharing." As late as October 1998, planning proposals called for 45 percent of X-Type parts or systems to be carryover or modified CD132.

Man, I rode in a friend's XJ8L, I think it was a 99 or so, that was a nice car. Lots of pickup, great ride, great seats, nice interior. A true luxury vehicle.

If it wasn't for their horrific reputation, I'd consider grabbing one. Every time on craiglist when I see one all I can see is everything going horribly wrong with it as soon as I pay for it ... I've heard the newer ones are pretty good, but I still can't see past their reputation.
