Coheed and Cambria

Seen them twice, it still isn't enough.

Another pick is an all-time favorite of mine: Alkaline Trio

no matter how many times I see Coheed and Cambria, it will never be enough.

shit is wacked.

 that video cracks me up. They had better songs to choose from though. They have such a varied style of music, but the songs they choose to make videos for and generally what is played on the radio, are their poppy songs.

i love them

and while i dont know if this is a style youre interested in, i love Reel Big Fish.

and i would find it hard to believe youve never heard of and maybe dont even like but...

Sublime FTW

Sublime is awesome, and this is a great suggestion because at the moment I am only a casual fan and only know their radio hits. They are definitely worth a closer look. Also, Reel Big Fish is ska, right? They had a hit on the radio a while back? Another great suggestion!

yes sublime is pretty much the shit

reel big fish is a ska band yes. one of their more popular songs was Sell Out which got some radio airtime. a few more of my faves by them are "She has a girlfriend now" and "beer". lol

get back to me in 2-3 yrs and see if you feel the same way : P

and a lot of these bands are not must hear...unless you're still in highschool.

/end elitism.

p.s. if you get a chance to see okkerville live...I'd highly suggest it. His voice is even more emotive live.

Looks like you already got Opeth covered so I'll mention a few others, though you're probably very familiar with them.
