EDIT: WARNING: Potential Spoilers if you haven't watched season opener yet.

Of course, it wasn't long before American Muslim groups began their protest of the latest season of 24.

Sohail Mohammed, a New Jersey immigration lawyer who represented scores of detainees caught up in the post September 11, 2001 dragnet, watched the episode depicting the nuclear attack with an Associated Press reporter.

"I was shocked," he said. "Somewhere, some lunatic out there watching this will do something to an innocent American Muslim because he believes what he saw on TV."

I for one know that ever since the season premiere, I run in fear from every Muslim I see on the streets carrying a briefcase. You just never know.

I wonder if Kiefer will make public announcements again saying that it's just a TV show and Muslims are cool people despite what they show on TV.

If you read CAIR's website, a lot of Muslims are being targetted for various stuff.

This guy works for CAIR (I assume) or represents Muslims so he is aware of the hate crimes.

After 9/11 the attitude towards Muslims in the U.S changed. There is a lot of hate crime towards Muslims, but they are usually on the local news and not national news.

with that said.. I cannot wait to watch the next episode of 24 :)

Disgusting, isn't it?

Especially Jews. They seem to cry at pretty much everything that shows them in a bad light.

one should learn to face the reality. Muslim extrimists have already taken down the twin towers with the help of other muslims living in this country. Then whats wrong in showing a fictional recreation of it... Isnt that what all the thrillers are about...

Someone has some Jack Bauer envy :Q.

EDIT: I'm surprised he didn't complain about the part in Crank where Jason Stathom says "Al'Kayduh" (his pronounciation :p) and everyone starts tackling the middle eastern guy while Stathom takes his car.

In related new, witches from around the globe are still pissed about The Wizard of Oz. And don't even get me started on what Saint Bernards think about Cujo....he was such a sellout.

Non-Muslims are targeted all around the world. Difference is non-Muslim's lives are targeted versus Muslims in America's "civil rights." Who would you rather be? Oh wait...

There is a lot of hate crime towards non-Muslims by Muslims, but they are usually never reported.

A hate crime and civil rights are not the same thing.

I was lumping in something worse that Muslims cry about (racial profiling, etc). I'd still rather get beat up then get blown up.

It's bad enough that we might have lunatics believing the crap they read on forums.

Yeah because Muslims are going around blowing themselves up on a daily basis.

More bigot talk.

Actually, to be completely honest in the full interest of disclosure, on Tuesday my boss came into my office and tried yelling at me for some minor gaffe... I kneed him in the balls and then proceeded to gnaw his throat off.

Who is CAIR, really?
Who determined that they speak for the islamic people? Who supports them?

I do not know a huge deal about them, so my question is genuine.

I have glanced at their site. I have also read another site that was quite interesting. that are really anti-cair.

In the interest of fairness, I have linked both below.

Cair
Anti-Cair

Again, I am not a huge follower or supporter of either side. I heard about anti-cair on a radio program and just looked it up.

:D

I don't think I can even read through that whole article. I got to the CAIR spokeswoman's statement of "After watching that show, I was afraid to go to the grocery store because I wasn't sure the person next to me would be able to differentiate between fiction and reality" and just had to stop. People should be given a swift backhand for being so goddamned stupid. Curiosity of more genius statements will probably force me to read the rest though.
