So where does it exactly say that it's better than the ones that US uses? I was under the assumption that the US also does not give all the capabilities when it sells aircraft to other countries.

Well how many of these upgraded F-16s does the U.S have in their inventory? This is an upgraded F-16s that only UAE has right now. The U.S can choose to hold back on certain arms from certain countries, but it has been very generous to Arab nations and Israel. If they were to hold back on certain parts, I'm sure they could turn to European or Russian planes instead.

The U.S can buy these planes if it wants, but it doesn't need them in its current inventory.

keep in mind you can only upgrade an old plane so much.

I just find it a little difficult to believe that the US would sell equipment to another country that is better than anything that it has.

So far you haven't provided anything that backs upyour statement.

It's an upgaded F-16. It is better than the current F-16s in the U.S airforce. How does that not back up my statement? The U.S also made a special F-16 (F-15? F-16?) for India that is very advanced.

It isn't better than what the U.S has. We have it. We just choose not to purchase it. If we wanted it we could easily order it. The F-16 is not our flagship in the sky.

Russia has the Su-37, but they have no money to purchase it. China is working on a deal to purchase the Su-37s from Russia which is IMO the best aircraft ever, and the best aircraft Russia has.

For the U.S to get rid of all their F-16s and replace them with the newer versions would be a total waste of money.

rofl India has no F-16's.

Maybe your confusing the F-16's to the Russian SU-30 MKI, which is specifically made for India. lol

F-15s maybe? That is why I put it in ( )

no F-15's either

So who built those planes for India me and you were debating about 2-weeks ago?

Then you're right. I was probably thinking about the SU-30 MKI.

Why is it so hard to believe. The US doesn't make F-16s. It does however control the sale of them. Why wouldn't we allow a company to sell to non-hostile nations. We order them like everyone else does.

F-16 Block 60
The F-16 Block 60, also known as the Desert Falcon (and F-16E/F in some circles), is the most advanced F-16 ever produced. An internal, forward-looking infrared navigation sensor mounted as a ball turret on the upper left nose distinguishes the Block 60 from previous F-16s. Other distinguishing external characteristics include a targeting pod with faceted windows, no pitot tube, strip lighting on the wings and vertical tail, an air scoop on the forward right tail root, a small exhaust on the forward left tail root, and two other exhaust ports?one on either side of the lower rear portion of the engine inlet. Both single- and two-seat aircraft carry the conformal fuel tanks.

?The F-16 Block 60 will become the backbone for the air defense of our country,? says Commander Khalid. ?The aircraft has been thoroughly studied. The Desert Falcon has enormous capability. It is a true multimission aircraft. Every fighter pilot?s dream of an aircraft is addressed in the Block 60. We have worked with Lockheed Martin to create a fighter that satisfies every potential operational need and mission. We are very proud of the capability we are getting with the F-16. We believe that we made the right choice.?
