It's kind of a bluesy jam, I play blues mostly. But I'm baked out of my mind right now, so don't expect anything fancy.. :p
When I get my amp working with my PC, I'll play something harder and much nicer for you guys, how's that? :)

I listened, I liked...get your gear together:beer:

Well, I'm trying but I'm really poor, so you'll have to wait a while.. :p
Someone broke my tuning device and I can't even afford a new one right now.. In fact, I can't even afford new strings.. :p

I loaded up your track with JR's drum track + McFly's Bass and it sounded pretty good (I could tell you were noodling around)

I hear you with the gear, all my stuff is real budget crap that I try to coax something listenable out of. I think you can find a tuner online somewhere...I think I got a set of Super Slinky's laying about somewhere if you want them?

Anyway, this is a long term project...no hurries :)

Heh, thanks for the offer, but I live in Europe so the shipping would kill me (or you, whatever.. :p)..

I'm currently saving up so I can work on my Vibroverb project (it works right now, but not really good and no pre-amp output so I can only record with a mic, which I don't have).

After that, I want a new guitar and some money to make myself some nice stomp boxes.. Also, I'm thinking about building a tube wah..

But this is all for the future, so for now, I'll stick to my Squier and my Hondo.. I'll try again tomorrow (it's like 22:20 here or something) with my Hondo.. I came up with the best riff-ish blues piece ever just a couple of minutes ago.. :p Really simple, but I haven't heard it anywhere before. I think it's an original.

Anyway, cheers and goodnight. :)

I'll check it out tomorrow if I get a chance. By the way rbV5, did you ever listen to the bass I recorded for your one alt guitar track? It wasn't anything special but I just wondered how you felt about it.

No, I musta missed it  .

That's the song I did the funky lead to later on IIRC. Yea, that needs a decent Bass line and a Lead, so I'm interested to hear it for sure  (repository? I'll be checking, I haven't looked in there in a long time). Thanks for the heads up.

Update: I can't seem to find your Bassline in the repository or a link in your posts aplefka...?

I sent it to Drew a while back. Dunno what he ever did with it.

I had a listen to the Bass line aplefka. I do think something like that could work, I think you have the right idea going :) Something about your tone and my guitar's tone + the track/mix isn't working at all though. I'd like to work on this song a little more and see if we can't get something good out of it.

First off, DAMN this thread exploded today. Well, between the same three people, but still.

And yeah it wasn't perfect by any means, but just an idea. I just wanted to be able to contribute something minor while I had time to do so that way I didn't feel like a hypocrite when telling other people to get their act together. :D

Thanks for that. I saw where you guys were using that on the home recording forum and it looked like it worked out fine. I can also host some files on my site, so anybody could just shoot me a pm for another alternative.

btw, any Drummers/Bass players working on PlatManDo??? :)

Been loaded down with schoolwork. I haven't even touched an instrument for at least a week and a half.

Actually yesterday, during the height of one of my fevers (been sick the past few days) I swear I heard this song but the only thing on in the entire house was the TV and it was turned down but it was a talk show. So I kind of played around with this verse riff on bass but no sooner did I try to write it down then the music stopped. I should see if I can flesh it out. I just remember thinking it had this sweet mysterious sound to it, kinda like The Mooche by Ellington.

I'll start adding vocals to my stuff when I get a mic for it.. the vocals sound kind of crappy through my dynamic mics.. need to pick up a good condenser mic

I hadn't been to the forums in like a week but I'm glad you messaged me on AIM to check this out. Legit man. I love that song for some reason. It's a jam for sure.

I'd love to try vocals on it but it'd require a good mic and the ability for me to wail without feeling self-conscious.

Hmm well unfortunately I don't have any recording gear. If I did, I'd lay down some sick drum tracks for you guys ;)

I can, however, sequence pretty much anything you guys need. Here's my current work in progress, so you can get a feel: clicky

just pm me if you guys need something

While the rest of them dudes were'a gettin' their kicks,
Boy I beg your pardon, I was getting mine,

Nice job Drew! Love that tune :)

I'm off work for the week now so I'll try and get some of my songs up starting today so everyone gets some new stuff to play with. I just need to mix some of my parts out first, (I'm also setting up my new Theater in the bedroom today which will probably hang me up a little.)

Here's some tunes to jam to. The first Link in each section is my complete version, the second is the same track remixed without the lead guitar to use as a backing track. I can do the same removing Drums or Bass tracks if someone requests it.

Thanks:cool:

I listened a couple times through....I like this quite a bit Drew :), nice job!

I've been a busy fella, hardly touched my guitar lately, but I just started my week off so I'm going to try to find some time to jam over the next few days, I'd like to try to mess around with some of the stuff you upped for a change of pace. I've got a few things started already.

Like to get some more AT musicians involved too ;)
