I listen to some gay ass shit. But I'm not in HS. I don't give a flying fuck in terms of what others think.

I literally listen to everything:
Spice Girls
Opeth
Avril Lavigne
Arch Enemy
Diana Krall
Old school 90s rap (Tupac / Biggie)
Utada Hikaru (Jpop)
Love video game music (Chrono Trigger, FF, Warcraft II & III)
Also a big fan of scores- Hans Zimmer, John Williams...

etc...

YES!!! GOD YES!

Although I don't feel the least bit guilty. They might have flopped in America, but everyone I convince to give them a fair chance ends up realizing that they are actually a pretty cool band.

no guilty feelings about this one whatsoever 🙂 they're a good band.

another I liked was urge overkill - Sister Havana

third eye blind's self-titled album is a guilty pleasure of mine. i will now exit this thread quickly and avoid all eye contact on my way out.

If I like a band, are they really mediocre? That said there are a few artists that have "that one good song" amongst their plethora of terrible's. Among those I'd say are:

Crossfade
Monster Magnet
Antiflag
Staind
Fleetwood Mac
*edit to add Creed

Justin Timberlake is good for what he is - a pop singer.

That said, I enjoy a shit-ton of popular rap. According to what I've seen around here in re: rap, I should probably just kill myself now.

You're not alone.
:music: I wish you would step back from that ledge my friend... :music:

Well, not a band per se, but video game music. I grew up with it, so I'm quite fond of it, even when it's cliche or cheesy.

If you haven't already, check out the Minibosses

😕 how are some of those "guilty pleasures"? A lot of them are widely recognized to be very good bands.

KT

Justin Timberlake - great pop, great falsetto, it's awesome.
The Killers - hot fuss was a great album, sam's town sucked cock. sawdust had a few b-sides that sounded more like hot fuss, I liked those.
Fall Out Boy - they've got their moments too.
Rick Astley - I'm never gonna give him up.
U2 - since everyone here hates them. Pop's probably my favorite album ever, even though people say it's their worst.
Evanescence - their first CD was good too.

Pop, Zooropa and Achtung Baby! (all the ones people here think suck) are the ONLY albums of theirs I listen to on a regular basis now. I haven't touched Boy, War, Unforgettable Fire or Joshua Tree in a long time. They were damn good in the 80's, but watching them perform in ZooTV and Popmart blows me away everytime; so lame and cheeky, yet so such a thrill.

My list:
Celine Dion: She isn't one bit bad, but so many seem to dislike her.
Spice Girls: I never had a man card.
Kelly Clarkson
Cher
