Yes, I've done that and it works. As long as they are quality RAMs.
One thing though. The 3500 will not be fully used to its capabilities since the 3200 will hold it back a little on peak speeds.
that depends how you use the timings. typically all 3500 memory is just 3200 that runs at 3500 with looser timings.
