I really like Muse. Never seen them live though.

I know the singing style is weird (rock opera?) but they are really fun to sing along to in the shower or the car. I think half the fun is when you can get into the music!

Mmm not sure if I'd go with rock opera, because that makes me think of 80s power ballads. If you're interested in those, Brother Firetribe is a fun, sort-of-recent band with a good 80s sound. I like their songs Heart Full of Fire, Wildest Dreams, Heard It on My Radio. As per usual, take YouTube audio quality with a massive grain of salt!

I'm not sure what I would call Muse. Awesome Rock?

Before your edit, I thought, "Wait? Is he talking about Elton John? No... he's actually on topic!" 😛

Kaido, I think the crowd is more into those weird What the Fox Say people than Muse and Elton John combined. 😛

Muse is awesome; they're kind of like a more rocking out version of Radiohead.

The nice thing about Muse is that they are a good test of your sound system; they sound decent on the car stereo, but blast them with a good set of headphones and you notice all these nuances in the music that were too muddled to hear in the car. To me the thing which differentiates a good band from an excellent band is the multiple listening pass test - in other words, does the music sound better ever after listening to the same song 20 times?
