I know this chip has been to 2.6 stabily by the previous owner so I'm sure it can get there and stay there. I don't need that much 250 is good for me especially since the ram would probably hold perfect stock that way (ddr500)...Alright I'm off to try that on stock voltage I'll brb in a few.

Thanks for the help once again. Also which temperature monitor do you use? The one that came with my mobo throws an error when I try to install it.

I just clocked it to 2400 (240x10) temps are pretty bad I'd say 48-49 CPU then something else is 40 (Prob mobo sensor I'd think) and 37 system. It has an aftermarket thermaltake coolmaster 8 hsf on it. Mmm...I'm not liking this.

I flashed bios with the OEM and then the official, still @ 49. What do you think I should set the vcore and special vid to ? Right now it's @ stock settings but 2400 is what my proc is rated @ stock as well.

Yes I did that's where I got it from I tried flashing to the first too just run the exe correct? Nothing happened (restarted after both). Do you have aim btw? Might be quicker that way pm me your sn if you do.

try going to dfi's main website and you should be able to learn how to really flash your bios cuz you didnt do it right

Touchdown I love you flashed and everything is nice and dandy still kinda high idle @ 39 but definetly a hell of alot better than 49...

I'll reapply the settings now and make it 10x250 and the memory settings and see if it stays the same.

you love me eh? lol

i dont need that thanks.

just bump my fs/ft threads if you ever see them 😉

about the vcore....you have to look at my example above again...

theres the initial cpu vid, then theres the special vid...your final vcore is the product of the two

Gotcha ok. I didn't mess with the vcore. Still getting 39 with everything set as it should be. What's remote temp under Speedfan that thing is @ 60 kinda getting me worried...is that the vid card?

i duno what the "remote temp" is that you are talking about, but your cpu temp is temp1 and case temp should be temp3

It's listed in the speedfan it's one of the temps anyways thanks for the help also my geil platinum ram is listed @ 2.5 7 4 4 that's how they have it listed on the Egg's site and that's how I've seen it listed other places as well including labels directly on the ram. So should I change the setting to that instead of 2.5 4 4 7 that I have now? 2.5 7 4 4 doesn't make sense to me personally...

remember that link i linked to earlier? with the multipliers? well right below it is the ram timings and it'll explain which is which. you are simply confused at the placement of the timings in the dfi bios. it will be covered in detail in that thread.

Lol actually I'm not. Check newegg or any other place online they have my ram listed as 2.5-7-4-4. Trust me.

it doesnt matter what newegg or any retailer says

as the end user, you should know which numbers corresponds to which in bios. if you were so sure you wouldnt be asking me now, would u? 😉

since you're lazy i'll tell what the order the numbers are in the dfi bios since different bios may list them in different orders

its 2.5-4-7-4 in the dfi

in my old abit, it would be 7-4-4-2.5 with the same ram

Ya ya that's what I had I was thinking whether or not to switch the tras and the trcd ras basically to match newegg's guess I don't need to do so. Thanks a bunch for your help. I appreciate it. Also found out that the remote temp is truely my vid card. Flashed the bios on that as well went down 10C or so. Pretty amazing stuff. I guess I'm set thanks again.
