You do realize there are a considerable number of engineers, computer scientists, and even some medical doctors in the ranks of ISIS, right? Everyone universally says oh, I thought they were relatively pious, but I had no idea they were extremist...

While there's no doubt a lack of literacy contributes a small amount to the overall problem, you are vastly overstating the impact.

You aren't looking quite deep enough. The key is to control the stupid and ignorant for these people. They are obviously smart and educated, but their tools of destruction, not so much. This makes it incredibly easy for them to manipulate the large masses of uneducated and brainwashed peons for their own ends.

The key to declawing any chauvinistic and violent society is to educate and empower the women. The dogma and rhetoric behind the violence is basically irrelevant. Christian societies have inflicted as much pain and death as anyone else, despite the New Testament. It wasn't until people were actually able to read the bible instead of just being manipulated by people who told them what was in it, that they started to take a turn toward civilization and away from brutal dictatorships.

Haha!!! So, there are good Muslims but I thought they were all bad? And you're going to do nothing about it but whine here. So, my friends are going to kill me b/c you know they're the bad Muslims and not the good ones? Do you have a special decoder ring that can tell? So, Shaq doesn't want to behead us even though he's one of those Muslims?

Thanks for the entertainment!
You're an idiot, proven many times on this forum, but I'll do it again here just for the lulz.

You see, they're "bad Muslims" if they don't believe the entirety of their holy book. They're "bad" in the eyes of fellow devout Muslims. You're an imbecile if you're bringing up Hollywood celebrities in your arguments. Now, the good Muslims? The ones that believe that the Qur'an is the words of their god? They'll kill you in a blink of an eye and don't even give a shit that you want to give them blow jobs, which you do.

11-13-15 Friday the 13th. A date that will live in infamy in France.

I don't understand how these bastards got past security with AKs, etc. No metal detectors?

They shot their ways in from outside... You probably want to ask how on earth they obtained the AKs since those are banned, amiright?

You are either a hard core troll, completely out of touch with reality, or have some sort of mental issue (that hopefully can be fixed with therapy if you ever chose so).

Am I wrong? I may or may not be trolling, but don't think that those crazy bastards won't string you up by your toes if they perceive that you believe differently than they do. Either that or you really believe that they're truly a religion of peace, and you don't get out much, or don't read the news. This reality that you speak of, I don't think it's what your feeble mind conceived.

It's not like he's being subtle about it. The only reason to respond to him is so anyone out of the loop that reads the thread won't buy his bullshit. Stop responding when you get to the point where he changes the subject or shifts the argument, anything you say after that only makes things worse.

ABC News Nightline is doing a special show about this attack right now.

Look like this was a well-coordinated plan with several points of attacks with guns and explosives. Not by some lone wolves. Must have help with manpower, money, and expertise.

Prayers for the innocents lost in France today :(

We have a family friend there and just heard from her.

She is sheltered in place.

Her and the family will be getting out of there when they can.

She said the Country is lost.

I had no idea how bad it had gotten there.

Before we get the full details on the situation, I'm going to go ahead and say this - religion of peace.

Haha! No, you're the idiot. I'm still trying to figure out which side you're going to take now. Muslims are bad but no, only certain ones. So, for Hollywood Muslim celebrities, it is a religion of peace but not for other Muslims? Keep it up!!!

Kinda hard to befriend people that wants to kill you because you don't believe the same thing they do. It's in the very text book that they so believe in.

So, either you think they don't believe their text book, if you think they're your friend, or you're an idiot for thinking that they won't want to kill you.

My friends are the bad Muslims, right?

Want to know the difference between you and I? I've experienced it first hand.

Go look at the literacy rates of predominantly Muslim countries and tell me there's not at a minimum a basic correlation.

Also, I don't see how stating that flat out ignorance across a wide swath of people is a leftist ideology, much less a political viewpoint.

They're fucking dumb. Radical assholes tell them to do shit based on a book they can't read. They do it. It's that simple. Worse than that, I've sat and observed illiterates run their fingers over the words believing that if they simply touch the words they CAN'T FUCKING READ that they're taking in the word of their God.

So, who's the dumb ass now? How many trips to Afghanistan have you made? Iraq? I'll wait, I'm a patient guy...

I've spent plenty of time in Afghanistan, working side by side with Muslims. Our strategy there was a failure. The Russians and the Serbs have much better strategies for dealing with Muslims.

They're the worst of the worst. The most disingenuous of the lot. They live in the splendor of a liberalized western nation while holding and supporting barbaric beliefs from the dark ages, and tricking the soft-hearted into believing that they're different and that you should protect them.

I have far, far more regard for the ones who attack us openly than for those who work from inside our own society.

OH, Somethings going to happen. Maybe even much bigger than any of us would like to even consider.

Wasn't it Nastradomus that predicted that the next big war would come out of the middle east?

My guess?

Rome represents Western civilization.
London represents the British Empire of old.
D.C. represents the American "empire"

All of which are seen as evil and targets of conquest by ISIS fanatics.

ISIS believes they are the advent of the apocalypse, and are doing their damndest to bring it about:
http://www.theatlantic.com/features/archive/2015/02/what-isis-really-wants/384980/

Don't think of them as 21st century actors even though they may utilize 21st century technology. They are thinking in 7th century terms.

Wow, that was a fantastic read, thank you.
It pretty much confirms what i'd thought all along.

What a tragedy for so many people to lose their lives :(

Life in Syria was good before isis and those other religious extremist rebels came.
The biggest "mistake" of the EU and the US was to support those rebels against Assad.
Syria and Saudi Arabia do not get along very well.
Iraq and Saudi Arabia did/ do not get along very well.
Iran and Saudi Arabia do not get along very well.
Which "oil" country will be next that suddenly has a surge of extremists coming to destabilize the country ?

Isis is supported by Saudi Arabia.
But the EU and the US are the bitches of Saudi Arabia because of the oil.
And that is why this will get worse. More attacks will happen.
It always starts in Saudi Arabia by funding.

At least Russia got it right.
And the Turks, use every opportunity to attack Kurds...

72 virgins and an eternal boner.

In Islam, the concept of 72 virgins (houri) refers to an aspect of Jannah (Paradise). This concept is grounded in Qur'anic text which describe a sensual Paradise where believing men are rewarded by being wed to virgins with "full grown", "swelling" or "pears-shaped" breasts.

. . . they are graphically described by Qur'anic commentator and polymath, al-Suyuti (died 1505), who, echoing a hasan hadith from Ibn Majah, wrote that the perpetual virgins will all "have appetizing vaginas", and that the "penis of the Elected never softens. The erection is eternal".

However, women only get one man and it's unclear if he has the eternal boner.

That reads a lot like having a harem. Such as rich sultans used to have...
The life of a sultans as described and written down by a poet ?
