What an artsy load of crap. People love it because it's cool, it's out there, it's not like traditional movies. It's a steaming pile of porcupine dung. Not everything artsy and hip is good. :|

Yeah, but if it's porn you want, go rent or buy a porn flick. Don't rent this crappy excuse for filmaking.

I feel the same way about Adaptation. Oh, and Monster's Ball, too. All I kept thinking was: This crap is Oscar material???

Exactly! And then people feel compelled to "like" it, because "hey, it was nominated"!

Couldn't agree more. David Lynch owes me 2 and half hours of my life back.

I agree. Other than the *** scene that movie was utterly forgettable. Total garbage. It's not because I didn't get it either. I got it. It was crap.

Word. I will say Lynch does some wonderful cinematic shots but his actual plots generally suck.

If you're interested in finding out what the whole movie was about, read Salon.com's Everything you were afraid to ask about "Mulholland Drive". I think it was intuitively obvious that the movie was a criticism of Hollywood's obsession with fresh faces, perky boobs and long legs. The movie also completely turned around my opinion of Naomi Watts. The girl can act.

Edit: Wrote "books" instead of "boobs". I am such a geek.

Yes. Unfortunately, like much of classic literature, you should endure this movie because you'll want to know WTF people are talking about when they reference it in conversation, comedy, and other venues.

LOL, "perky books."

If only Hollywood did care about good books instead of remaking 70's TV shows and King Kong.

They needed to do a 2-part movie of Ender's Game. Now with Haley Joel Osmont too old for the role, the time is past. :(

Not about to get into a fight about a subjective medium, but from a film standpoint it's one of the better put together movies I've seen. I suppose if you know nothing about Lynch, or his other work, then the movie might not make sense to you, but since you obviously didn't 'get' it I suppose it's the 'worst movie ever.' Fair enough.

Yeah ok, whoever thinks this movie sucked really bad didn't 'get' it.

I think someone would have to be braindead not to understand the points the movie is trying to make.
