what's this flushing q's about??

Some of the members here have a machine that us used to store WU's that are ready for sending. Reasons are varried, but for the most part, it is to send them when no one is using the bandwith.

Gotcha- not a problem for me!! I though I would have to dump my SetiQ or something strange like that. I'm upgrading to XP this weekend, and I hope it goes smooth before the race.

That IS what we are talking about. If you have completed WUs in SETIQ prior to the race, they are supposed to be dumped. Otherwise someone could be sitting there with 500 WUs at the start of the race, and give their team an unfair advantage.

So just prior to the start of a MTR, a call is put out to flush completed WUs in SETIQs or other WU holders. So we all start at the same place.

Of course, once the race is on, sandbagging and saving for a dump is allowed. 😉

🙁 I think I'm a bit To late....
This could have been my first MTR, but don't think that will happen now..
But, if you need another 6~7/day, you can still add me!
Just thought I'll try because like someone else said, this could be the last one
for the project! :Q

I wasn't going to get in on this race, but since you need more racers, count me in!

Looks like I am averaging about 38 a day according to the Seti@Home website.

You could check with Jatwell and see if he wants in. He was in the last race and he is averaging 73 a day

Is this still in effect?
Usually a race is an opportunity to up your production, but if you want to do it this way that's fine too.
Just wanted to know.

Any ideas how long the race will last?
