My MSI K7T-133A pro freezes up during boot up. It seems my problem is similar if not the same as some I have read about on the Google/ MSI forums. I thought I had a corrupt bios/cmos but it appears that may not be the case. Can anyone give me any info on a work around. I can't even get to the A: drive to reinstall my OS. When I go into the bios/cmos setup, the machine freezes after about 30 seconds. Is the board junk now? If I need to get a new mainboard, what are your recomendations? I can't RMA the board because I got the board at a computer show and that dealer no longer attends and MSI only allows reseller RMA's not the enduser. Also, the board worked well for about a year now and I have since thrown away the reciept. I used to have an Epox board and I liked it very much for my AMD 500mhz K2 before I upgraded. After reading all the posts about problems with this board I don't think I will go with MSI again. Asus, Abit, Epox, any others out there that are good? I'm running an Athlon T'bird 900mhz processor. Is there a site where I can look up motherboards to compare features and reviews/issues? Thanks for any help.

I had a customer with the same problems that you are having now. MSI does accept returns from end users, as that is what I ended up doing. The turnaround time was about 2 weeks or so, and I got what looked to be a brand new board back. Try giving their tech support a call and you should not have any problems sending it in for RMA.

He's been up and running ever since (2 months ago now).....

Last week I did a new install (my first build) of the K7T Turbo 133A, and all went well. I love the MB! Is your power supply at least 300 watt, and decent quality? Any feedback from the LEDs? Memory fully seated?

Yes, the power supply is an approved AMD one, 300w, and the memory was fully seated. I was wondering if the battery was failing, would that cause the problem or would it just affect the system clock? Checked all connections, ide etc..

You might try MSI forum where their techs chime in on problems. If that fails, maybe you should try above suggestion to call MSI tech support, and see if they won't RMA. Believe it takes a call, not email. Good luck!
