I'm trying to figure out what is win2k's equivilant to win98's msconfig that I use to manage programs that run at start up.

This is different than the Start-Program Files-Start Up. I have Diskeeper and it starts a small program that I don't want it to. And I would also like to see what other stuff is running at the start up as well cuz I there's quite a lot of stuff running when I view the task manager :p

You can copy MSCONFIG.EXE over from Win98 and use it under Win2K for most of the same functionality.

Personally, I prefer Start Up Control Panel. It gives a little more flexiblity and is quite good.

Thought I've seen that before ctll. Thanks. And thanks for the suggestion AndyHui. Disabled some of the services that I didn't like such as "Allow Remote registry manipulation" Never saw that thing before :) Problem solved!
