WTF is the caption supposed to mean?

The hummer crashed head on into a 6200 pound body on frame truck? Short of an M1-A tank, anything is going to get messed the fsck up when that happens.

Yeah.. it's called a crumple zone. The truck took the damage so the driver didn't have to. Hitting your seatbelt in a 45mph both ways head on, without crumple zones, is like falling onto the ground at 90mph.

extends time of impact. before crumple zones cars were made stiff as rocks. u hit something, and u go splat inside the compartment.

I tihnk everyone lost:(

They are both totalled. The H2 is a full size Chevy pickup with a passenger cab body on it. The Dodge is a beast. :D

Wrong on both accounts. The Hummer H2 is based on the Hummer platform, not the Chevrolet pickup platform.

HUMMER H2
The Hummer H2 is the result of a December 1999 agreement in which General Motors bought the rights to the Hummer name and marketing. Although it is built in a new AM General plant in Mishawaka, Indiana, the H2 is based on a Tahoe/Suburban platform with 7.2 inches chopped out of its midsection to make for a 122.8-inch wheelbase.

See the first paragraph. You are owned again Nik, now STFU.

I said pickup truck; it's based on the Tahoe. Who's closer? Methinks me. :p

Yeah, that subtitle isn't cool...just a couple of GM/Chevy/etc. haters probably, since the Dodge is in the background, and was equally totally, even tho it probably had some weight on the H2...plus, it's not just a "normal" model, is it? I mean, look at the rear tires...heavy duty model, or something?

<--Doesn't know his Dodge trucks. :)

What a crock of crap. You find where that information is said on one of these sites and I'll forward your findings to my ops manager and GM representatives at my call center and tell them that they're lying.
