So I'm sitting here looking at some reports and I get a call from some guy that ordered a disk from us but didn't receive it. While speaking with him, I kept hearing some noise in the background and initially thought he was at a sink doing dishes or something. Then I got audio proof that I was wrong...

Hear Mr. Classy in all of his glory!

(Now that we can export our phone calls, I hope to have a lot of these in the coming weeks 😀 )
 
I remember having a call from a guy dropping one back in my tech support days. It's always an amazing window into the reality of peoples' lives.

Is there any sort of privacy issue about posting the calls, though?

I'm making sure there's no personal information, company information, etc. Heck, if I wanted to I could post this guys checking acct number, CC, vacation address, you name it 🙂
 
I remember talking to a girl in high school who I thought was unobtainable.. She was definitely a hottie and she had an older hottie sister.. so she was basically one of the most popular girls at her 3000-person high school.

Anyway, I was talking to her and then I heard the sound of someone pissing. Then, I heard a toilet flush. Then I heard a door open and close... The conversation went like this:

blah blah blah (about 10 minutes into the call)
her: ya, we should hang out some time but you'll have to impress me
*tinkle tinkle*
me: I'm totally impressive
*more tinkling*
her: well I'm dating two guys right now so we can be like friends or something
*FLUSH*
me: wtf was that
her: I was peeing.. big deal
me: lol gross
her: whatever, I do it all the time
me: I've never had a girl talk on the phone to me while pissing
*door open and close*
her: well I'm always on the phone.. we can hang out friday if you want
me: you done peeing?
her: ya, I'm in the kitchen now
me: oh
her: so do you want to hang out on friday?
me: I gotta do something then
her: saturday?
*food crunching*
me: I can't believe you didn't wash your hands
her: lol whatever
me: I gotta go



EDIT: lol.. I just realized I used 'lol' to show a phone conversation.. she did laugh out loud.. but maybe I should have put 'haha' there instead.. oh well.. LOLZ
 
It all depends on how long he was on hold before you talked to him.

I have been on hold for 20+ minutes and gave up holding it and just went, only to have the guy answer the call while I'm going.

But I tell him straight up: "Look, I've been on hold for X minutes and couldn't hold it any longer. So if you hear a toilet flush, don't freak out."
