I got this question in an email today from a friend.
I have a new system at home. It's a Compaq Deskpro EN P933 with 128MB RAM. I am running Windows 2000 Professional on it, not server.
I have some CD's of MP3's I like to play. But on this new system they play too fast and sound like the chipmunks. WAV, ASX, and other files play just fine...but MP3's are not doing so well.
I have tried Winamp, and MS Media Player 7.1 and Media Player 6.x with the saem results. I have tried copying the files to the local HD and playing them from there, still no difference.
Do you have any ideas?
I have never heard of this, has anyone else?
Any suggestions?
Thanks
