Neckhair is trying to make up for the posting opportunities he lost during his banishment. Damn, almost half the posts within this thread ALONE are his.

Keep up the good work Neckhair ...

"neckhair" was really the best you could come up with?! Come on fool try harder.

This, always this. Also, run the water in the shower/bathtub for a few minutes before you take the picture. There is a trick that has become popular where they 'paint' discolored tiles with soap to make it look white, then it washes off the first time you run water, they then take it out of your deposit when you move out.

Cunning, I'll do that thanks.

Your goal should always be to grow your emergency fund. Put at least a few pounds in there every week. Even small amounts will add up if you are consistent about it.
You will be surprised at how much miscellaneous expenditure you end up with, it can drain an emergency fund fast. It is stuff you never thought about until you had to watch your budget, stuff like postage and haircuts. Instead of dipping into your emergency fund you would be better setting up a small slush fund for that sort of expense, and having that fund roll into your emergency account every month. That way instead of taking away from your emergency fund for minor expenses you are adding to it when you have a cheap month. It is much easier to save money when you plan it from the start then to find extra money to save when you planned to spend it.

Also good advise, I'm crap at saving, but I'll see what I can do, also I cut my own hair and don't send things snail mail.

Personally, I'm all about Excel. But, it you want some automated system check out Mint.com. I’m not sure they have it on your side of the pond though.

Ok I'll have a look cheers dude, I've just spent a while setting up iBank, it's got potential.

Emergency supplies. For whatever reason I believe in the saying, "Whatever can go wrong, will!". My Son, who has been away at college has been on our cell phone plan for about 2 years. Phones can get quite expensive. You can always get the throw away kind.

Dishes
Night out with buds
Utilities may or may not cover Waste Disposal/trash pickup.
If you had a car you may have to pay to park it.
Eventually you have to buy clothing. (Unless Santa is nice to you!)
Shoes are nice to have also.
Eat lots of Ramen Noodles spaghetti is nice also.
Find girlfriend that can cook.

No, on dates I usually drive. Or we walk, everythings pretty close together, I've never been on a bus with my partner.

P.S. My bus pass looks exactly the same as the one on the left.

I've got shit loads of spare phones :)

What about dishes?

Night out with buds

Yep, I'll definitely set some money aside for that.

Utilities may or may not cover Waste Disposal/trash pickup.

...? That doesn't cost money AFAIK.

If you had a car you may have to pay to park it.

I've got a drive way, so when I get my next car I'll be OK.

Eventually you have to buy clothing. (Unless Santa is nice to you!)

True but I've got enough to last me a couple of years.

Shoes are nice to have also.

Same as above.

Eat lots of Ramen Noodles spaghetti is nice also.

Not eating Carbs.

Find girlfriend that can cook.

I have one!

Why am I not surprised that HAL lives with his parents?

And WTF is a flat in the UK? In the US it's a bad tire. I'm confused.

Are you going to have flatmates?

I always thought that was a funny word for flat chested women who bore one's kids.

I lived in a house with some friends for about 2 years, but that's a bit different, I wasn't responsible for 100% of the bills, my fiancee isn't moving in for about a year as she's having to work quite a long way away at the moment, and she's only just started learning to drive, when she can drive she will :)

So he's a she?

We have a thread instead.

Reported for Thread derailment.

We're talking about your flat chested living space, and your inability to pay for anything with no job.

We're NOT talking about you and schneiderguy deciding who plays top and who plays bottom
