I meant write out a small snippet, since you know more than I do and it wouldn't be fair if I wrote something out.

The life stories of the six men who raised the flag at The Battle of Iwo Jima, a turning point in WWII. Based on the New York Times Best Selling book by James Bradley. Produced by Steven Spielberg. Directed by Clint Eastwood. Starring Ryan Phillippe, Barry Pepper, Robert Patrick.

Directed by Eastwood = guaranteed to be good.

Too many sequels to movies that either don't need or deserve a sequel.

Agreed. I can't believe they waited so long on some of them too, like Jurassic Park 4? Did they wait this long just because they couldn't get any of the original cast to come back, at least until their careers started to suck?

I'm not really interested in any of these, or any new movies lately (not interested in seeing King Kong, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, whatever else). I'm more looking forward to the box sets of the 2nd season of Veronica Mars and BSG (I haven't had cable since 1998, so I have to wait for the DVDs).

Wow not a single new idea in that list, bravo Hollywood.

So just don't go to the movies? Simple solution 🙂

That is not even close to an all inclusive list of 06 releases as well.

From my quick glance, I see "Cars" (Pixar) is missing from your list.

JP 4 because i'm a huge fan of the books/movies... but im sure this will just drag it down. d@mn all these sequels. Big Momma's House 2?!?!!?!? WTF!

I left Cars out because it wasn't guaranteed to be out in June like they're claiming.

Seeing as I loved to read Iron Man comics as a kid.................I can't wait for this movie.

I can eeeeeeasily see Hollyweird wrecking this movie, but I hope they don't.

My bro-in-law does movie posters & he says it definitely *is* in the works. Supposedly "New Line" has this film, so he seems to think it'll be better than if somebody else got it, but I'm still worried.

Cool thing about Iron Man is that he doesn't have any special powers. It's simply a suit. Over the years it's been made better & better.....(I'm curious to see what the suit will look like in the movie. Red/yellow. Grey. Stealth. He had a bunch of suits & different styles too).

Anyway.......................after Iron Man I have another one that I think would be stellar if Hollyweird could do it right.........................Dr. Strange!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But that's a whole 'nother dream!!!

😛

the only movies on that list I would be interested in paying to see at a theatre are Rush Hour 3, Jurassic Park 4 and Pirates of the Carribean 2.

the rest are all dvd unless I get free screening.

Rush Hour 3 without jackie chan is worthless. I like Chow yun fat but he can't replace jackie

New Line is indeed doing it, so it probably won't be too horrible. Unfortunately they haven't announced who's playing Stark yet. Also, there's no official director, at least not that's been announced. I hate to say it, but I see it being pushed back to the fall/winter, or next year 🙁

Pirates 2 looks to have potential, as the original was simply great and definitely had sequalibility

I loved Gladiator, and I wish a sequal would work, but frankly it's more of a lone flick rather than a series

The daVinci Code was an entertaining read (although very 'light'), and I could see how it would make an OK flick

The Iwo Jima flick looks interesting, except Spielberg's style can be very overbearing at points - here's to hoping that Eastwood is doing the bulk of the work, as I trust him to do justice to a film more than Steve.

Put myself down for Pirates 2

X:3... although I'll probably get lots of flack when curious george comes out.. since i have a curious george tattoo on my shoulder..

yay another year of sequels...

There have been some EXCELLENT sequels out there, some better than the originals. Spiderman 2 is a good example, much better than the first one IMO. X2 is another example, I liked it a lot more than the first movie, I'm hoping the third will be even better.

But Big Momma's House 2? Yeah, that's just stupid, in a TMNT:3 way.
