I'm putting the bike away for the season today. We never got to ride this summer! Did you ever get with Aaron from grafikintentions.com about that vinyl?

-=bmacd=-

I gotta get a motorcycle. Living in San Diego I can ride year round.

40-45 is my limit. I've riden in colder weather, and never really enjoyed it. If I gotta dress like a spaceman and plug myself in, I may as well be in a car.

My bike never gets put away for the winter. There is always a 40-45 degree day or higher here (central IL) during the winter.

Yeah, I remember seeing pictures of it. It's sweet! 😀 I'd be out riding that thing every chance I get.

I have ridden my sporty at 29 degrees here in Houston, and the bad part was... I did not properly dress, it was 3am or so in the morning and I had to ride about 40 miles back to my home from a party. No helmut, just a do-rag on, no gloves.... my jean jacket, a turtleneck sweater... by the time I got home my fingers were numb and literally blue, my lips were literally blue, I was shaking so bad that when I got into a hot tub of water it took 20 minutes of being submerged before I stopped shaking.

As you bike riders know, the temperature drops when your riding on your bike. Stupid me, when I went to the party it was in the upper 70's and I really hadn't planned to stay that long... I did some other incredibly stupid stuff when I was there... won't mention it. But needless to say I survived it, and didn't kill anyone or myself. So lesson learned.

Now, if I have to ride in the cold, I'm layering, layering, layering shirts sweaters... and have yourself a good thick leather riding jacket, heavy leather gloves, a knit pullover face cover, and helmut to put over that, some good thick riding chaps to keep your legs warm, and some thermal long johns underneath your clothes. Thats my 02 on the subject.

Oh yea, I forgot to mention invest in some good Frog Togs for when it is raining and cold outside. You will thank yourself for that investment! Trust me.

hehe yah..! ok houston riders pipe up!

For me if there was no snow or ice on the road I went out. Unlike summer you can put on all kinds of clothes. I personnaly hated riding in summer on a really hot day. You can only take off so much clothes before you will be arrested for indecent exposure.
When I rode I lived in Chicago. On a super hot day stuck in traffic for hours trying to get home sucked big time for me. Best riding in summer for me though is lake shore drive after midnight. Less traffic to worry about and for me there is nothing like Chicago off LSD at night all lit up.
