You might say that now, but get a smartphone and then that'll probably change.

But I have wi-fi everywhere I go except when I'm driving lol. And I REALLY don't want to lose my $30 a month plan, my friend pays $90 a month on his plan with Sprint!

Hmm, thought it was actually RSA-512 or 1024? At least, I recall reading that for the original X.

Given that an iP4 requires the use of a bumper/case to keep it's fragile shell from cracking, I find the look of a kevlar-backed Droid Razr without a case much more appealing.

Why bring the IP4(s) into it?

For me it's a choice between this or a couple of other Android phones (SGs2 and the new nexus).

But the RAZR is a Verizon phone, which does not carry the SGS2. So it would be between the RAZR and the Nexus.

I'm going with the Nexus.

No, it's going to have a global launch in November, just those models will have GSM primary.

Also, I hate Motorola, they lock the bootloader so you never can flash a real ROM, just PRoms which don't work very well.

Well the GS2 (on sprint) had sucky reception. I hope they fix that in the nexus; else the razr might be very appealing. I'm currently on sprint but contract is up in Nov so I might switch to verizon or wait till those phones hop over to sprint. Hum.... Had high hopes for the gs2 (nexus) but sadly it failed in on critical area.

More to the point, *you can't open the device*.

So I'm guessing there's a Verizon SIM in there that you can't switch out, and can only use to roam on. Did anyone confirm whether this was true for the various CDMA 4S models or not, btw?

Since the phone is coming to rogers canada you have to be able to add a sim card to it, i think i saw a pic where a cover on the side opens up, possibly giving access to an sd/sim card.

Why is this? Does Rogers have some sort of rule about giving consumers access to the internals of a device? Motorola could just ship Rogers a version of the phone with the Rogers SIM inside.

Not sure about rules, but that totally defeats the purpose of a sim card.

I was all set on the Prime until this. Despite the Prime having ICS, I loathe having to use a heavy phone. Major reason why I haven't upgraded from my Incredible to any of the 4"+ inch phones.

if you wanted to explain further I'm all ears. Perhaps I completely missed something but it's just a 1.2ghz OMAP 4430 (already done with the Bionic) with a qHD screen (already being done with the Nexus Prime) with 1GB RAM (already done with the Bionic, GS2, Nexus Prime, etc)
