The hardware buttons will be a visual annoyance and wasted space once its upgraded to ICS. The resolution is already lower and that will never change. Plus I just like the look of the Nexus much more than the RAZR.

Not to mention no replaceable battery, locked bootloader, carrier bloat, moto bloat, etc.

Moto has said that they intend to release an ICS update for the Razr in early 2012. They just have to port their bloatware over to it.

Can anyone confirm the rumors (yes I know "rumors") that the RAZR will only have GPS and an accelerometer (sp?). So that would mean it doesn't have a compass, barometer, FM radio, etc....

I've been reading a lot of comments from different sites comparing the Galaxy Nexus and the RAZR and these were the biggest ommisions in order for the RAZR to be so thin. Just curious.

Just saw the tweet from Droid Life about this. Thats irritating. A reversal from the Droid 1/Milestone bootloader.

Only the Droid 1 was unlocked. The Milestone has never been unlocked...

Not joking at the time but it does sound ridiculous when you re-read my post. The Galaxy Nexus supposedly has a barrometer and FM radio capabilities. Current Android Tablets have the barrometer as standard equipment and the FM radio capabilities have been in all the Moto phones (I think, correct me if I'm totally off base).

My point was what were the trade offs for the RAZR to get it so thin despite having LTE. I first thought that it was just the removable battery but other sites/comments suggested that they gave up a lot.

Notice where it says the NFC module, compass, gyro, and the last one a barometer. According to the sites the RAZR has none of these (as well as 802.11a).

Not what I meant. With the Droid 1/Milestone, the Droid 1 was unlocked and the Milestone was locked. With the Razr, the Droid is locked and the Euro-Razr is unlocked.

Crowd Source weather. Imagine if every single android phone had a barometer. Google could measure pressure differentials across the entire country.

Google said the barometer in the galaxy nexus isn't really weather grade, its used mainly to aid gps.
