I think it looks nice, BUT I hate the fact that Motorola seems intent on not figuring out how to make the device one thickness. "Oh man... we either have to research 40$ mil to figure this out or just keep this hump and make everyone get used to it.. hmm.. HUMP IT IS!"

I do like the look of the phone, but I wish they would get rid of that stupid hump that seems to take place in everyone of their phones save for a few.

Yeah it's all down to personal preference I suppose. To me it looks really fussy, all clashing materials and unnecessary angles. Although some of that might be just the promo photos.

Still I don't buy my phones on looks so it's not too bad.

They could make the phone 2 mm thicker and make it flat, but then you can't claim to be the thinnest :)

That's because the RAZR has hardware buttons, whereas the Nexus loses those and the space gets added to the screen size, so it won't actually make as much a difference as you think.

I actually like the bump, it kinda let's the phone sit and hang onto my hand when I talk (at least that's how it was with the Droid X). To me it's like having a uniformly shaped cup versus one that has a smaller base and wider top. The uniform design is not as nice when holding up.

The reason they have the hump is to hold the camera internals. You have two options. Make everything the same thickness (as the hump) or have the hump and a thin rest of the phone. Your choice.

I see what you mean. I hope you are right. I'd really like to see either phone in real life. I was playing with the Galaxy S II on AT&T and it is ok but honestly feels big to me. Someone I know is testing the Prime and his complaint is that it's impossible to use the phone with one hand. Your thumb can't reach extremes of the screen for things like hitting icons, sliding the notification bar, etc.

That's up in the air. Google Dev phoves have traditionally always been totally open, so people are wondering how Verizon is going to handle that. I don't think Google would have been sure ok on locking it just because Verizon asked. No point in it being a dev phone if it was then.

Yes, if it is not a Nexus.

Every other Nexus has been sold in another similar form as a mainstream device. I still think Verizon will have the Nexus Prime, but it won't be a Nexus. Same phone, but with a "Droid" name, lockdown and Verizon's bloat.

Everything the iPhone 5 was supposed to be.

Thinner. Larger screen. LTE. Better construction (I imagine this will fair even better than an SGS2 in a drop test, and miles ahead of the iP4S).
