Saw the update was available to download online, and well... I have 2.0.1 and it was a very smooth process.
Definite improvements abound, the notification shade slides down beautifully, I'm using GDE and even switching screens has improved.

I'm loving the black widgets, and the facebook widget (still white) looks nicer too. I'm rocking the black power bar now, and I love it. Just looks "right". Though dammit I wish it had a Silent/Vibrate tab (instead of the sync tab perhaps?). I might need to keep using the Vibrate Widget from Beautiful Widgets, having one touch toggle for Vibrate/previous ringer volume is awesome, I use it all the time.

hadn't noticed that, it is much nicer. And I agree the black widgets look better, and they fit my theme much better than the others did.

Took the plunge as well. Super easy.

Camera is faster, like the widgets, other stuff seems faster. Was hoping the occasional app tray lag would go away, not the case at the moment. Hopefully we'll get an app that will let us hide some of those icons.

I'm using dxTop and it lets you sort/organize the icons by category so when I open the app tray I have a bunch of >'s with category names no icons to worry about drawing and lagging it up. Seems to work well.

The thing that's screwy about the lag on the app tray is that it doesn't seem to be related to the number of apps you have. Organization would be nice though, I think I'll check dxTop out.

There is a free trial version on the market that I think is up to date with the most recent release. it can be hard to find sometimes and market tends to give lots of themes as the result, try looking for dxTop: Home and it should find the actual program and not the theme packs.

Thanks. I had a hell of a time trying to find the demo. :)

Has anyone had any update troubles?

since I updated my phone I can't power my phone down, set it to sleep/wake up when I push the button. It's like the new firmware rendered the power button useless.

- Thoughts?

No idea.

Mine has been solid since I got the update so I don't know what's going on with yours really

Had my phone for 1.5 days, so far....no prompt for the update. I'll be patient for a few more days. The only thing I am pining for is the camera fixes.

You'll probably be one of the last to get it, since yours is so new.

I don't know if there is any truth to this, but it sounds logical, that VZW is rolling out the update to those Droids with the highest usage, first.

You could however, always update it manually like I did. I just couldn't wait.

Got mine around 11PM. Seems snappier. At first the screen seemed dim at first, but it's okay now.

how do you make the widgets black in the new update???

it's simply default, and only for a few widgets.
The Power Control widget, and YouTube widget, were the ones I saw that were automatically black.
The Facebook widget got cleaned up a bit. Colors aren't an option, just Google decided a couple should be black instead of white.
