I'm not fully understanding this situation. How did the men who beat him catch him if he were fleeing the scene? Was he trying to stop, but they were jogging along side of him threatening him with a beatdown if he would just get out of the car? If that's the case, I would have stayed in the car most likely, and either gone to a police station or called from a cellphone. Granted, him not having a license puts him in the wrong, and the kid didn't need to be running in front of cars. Also, the guy didn't even belong in the country, so really, everyone involved is in the wrong, but beating the guy's head in isn't bringing the kid back, although, truth be told, i'd have done the same if he were my friends son. As for the givers of the beat-down being charged, who's to say anyone would come forward and finger them as suspects? That is likely the reason nobody has been charged. nobody wants to finger the vigilante who fought for the dead child. It's not really the polices' fault. Although there are many other things I can think of to fault cops with, this isn't one of them.
