Too bad it's probably going to be a DROID.Wait, you have to go up the 5.7" for the non-budget SoC?
Crazy. Still, A53 with the bigger battery and 1080p is going to give some nice battery life.
Snapdragon 800 vs Snapdragon 615? Adreno 330 vs Adreno 405?
Is it worth the downgrade in SOC from my Nexus 5 for the upgrades in battery and camera? And the SD card slot?
Well today they reiterated the camera is much improved. However, if you're used to Nexus cameras, the Moto camera isn't going to be a disappointment and may in some ways be an upgrade. At least you get burst mode compared to the Nexus phones.Do you trust Motorola with cameras? That's another question to ask. My experience with all the Moto phones is: no.

ummm dXo mark already reviewed the new moto x camera and it rated higher than the iphone 6 or 6+, getting the third highest score of all time for a mobile phone camera.
Ugh it's going to be an unbearably long wait for the new Nexus 5.
I know, right? Way too long. I think I'm going to get either the Moto X Play or the Moto X Style as a stop-gap phone until November/December (whenever the Nexus is released). If the Nexus doesn't excite me then I can just keep the Moto phone.Ugh it's going to be an unbearably long wait for the new Nexus 5.
It's loosely based on screen sizes, so if there are 2 Nexuses one being 5,2" and one 5,7" they will probably call them 5 and 6.What's with the nexus naming scheme, Nexus 5 was 2 years ago, now it's back?
I'm having a lot of trouble understanding why my LG G2 feels faster than my Nexus 5 that's overclocked to 2.8ghz

I'm curious about their testing methods also. It's a very synthetic test IMO and its like getting a PC Mark score or whatever. That only gives you one dimension of the imaging capabilities.Does that require taking RAW files or something? I've heard a lot of universal distaste with Moto cameras for awhile, but I also admit I haven't paid much attention as of late.
A lot of distaste could simply be bad processing of jpegs compared to the processing of other models.
What about the MOTO G ?
