In that case... is it true they're going with physical buttons for this thing? :|
There are screen-printed/backlit capacitive buttons underneath the display as with all HTC phones. They still haven't redesigned Sense to incorporate soft-buttons in the UI.

How does the screen look compared to 720p screens, is the difference even noticeable? How is SLCD3, is the screen as nice as the One X?
Best screen I've ever tested, period. Haven't compared to an HTC One X/One X+ directly, but noticeably crisper compared to an iPhone 5 (difficult to subjectively compare brightness/contrast and color accuracy but both displays are in the same ballpark, with the HTC showing colors a bit more saturated.) Light years beyond anything on any current Samsung/Motorola but haven't been able to compare it to the Note 2 (probably it's most direct competition).

I wouldn't fear dead pixels, because honestly I'd never be able to notice them!

Looks like a great screen but I'm so used to putting my phone in my front pocket. I don't think that thing is going to fit. lol

The virtually identical-sized Samsung Galaxy S3 fits easily in my front pocket, so it should be ok.

Edit: I don't wear skinny jeans. Guess I'm behind the times. :(

Actually, it's not skinny jeans so much as slim/tapered that's "in." Guys wearing skinny jeans (i.e. effeminate skin tight pants that look like they were nabbed from his girlfriend's wardrobe) is an iffy thing always. What's gotten popular is having a cleaner profile without all the excess fabric. It can, however, come off looking skinny because it's common for guys to wear everything a size or two too large their entire lives without realizing it.

Point is I don't understand why people like to say certain phones don't fit in pockets because, as you noted, they're thin and relatively small devices. I've never tried a Note or Note II though so maybe those are pushing the limits? Maybe trying to pocket a Kindle Paperwhite would be comparable to a 2013 phone the way things are going? :D
