I have a one x... and man that thing is a beauty already.... can't imagine the slcd3.. with 1080p... 5" damn..

That phone looks awesome.

Of course, knowing HTC if it even comes to the US, it'll be on one crappy carrier. Meanwhile, they'll release a dumbed down/retro-styled/butt-ugly/roundish version called the Blowfly X or something that they'll promote the hell out of as though that version of it never existed.

My concern is the 2020 mAH sealed battery. I love the 1080p screen. So how big is this phone? About the size of SG3?

I believe the US (or at least Verizon) version is the rumored Droid Incredible X. Nice screen, but as always it seems like HTC cheaps out on the battery.

That screen with that battery? That can't be good.

i think it might be enough for me. my gnex has a 1750mah battery and the battery lasts plenty long for my usage.

s4 pro way more power efficient than omap 4460
slcd more power efficient than samoled for most use cases
screen a bit larger and higher pixel density, so screen/backlight will use more power

battery is ~300mah larger.

hoping that this turns into the HTC Nexus 5

This is Japan so battery power is not that big a deal. Therefore, HTC may change the battery for the US version.

What's the deal with Japan that battery life isn't a big deal?

If I had to guess, coverage is better so you don't have weak signals killing the battery as much, and there's probably more and better access to charging stations.

I suppose it could still be an issue, and I know nothing about the market so my guesses could be way off base.

Here we go again. Nice specs, but in a ridiculously oversized phone.

A lot of people really like these huge phones. I see so many adults and even teens/kids with the Galaxy Note and it doesn't seem to bother them.

I do get the feeling that Android handset manufacturers are abandoning 4" and under screens for low to mid range phones which is a pity for people with smaller hands/pockets yet wanting a highend phone.

The galaxy note is ridiculously big. My jaw drops every time I handle one. The best is when you see someone talk on the note with a case. It's monstrous.

A 5" 1080p screen is indeed sexy. At 400+ppi though I wonder if the benefits are diminishing.

WTF is wrong with the battery? 2100mah is good for an SGS3 but 2020 mah is NOT ENOUGH all of a sudden???

50% more than an iPhone 5 = omg so little battery...

More pixels means the GPU is working harder to render graphics to the screen. So yeah, it might negatively affect battery life. Then again, the HTC One X only had 1800 mAh to work with.

A 5" screen seems massive to me right now but then again I currently use a 4S. I should have a Nexus in the mail today so maybe I'll change my tune in the next week or so.

Wait, you just bought a Nexus when there are obvious signs of a new Nexus coming out within the next few weeks? O_O

Notice how this phone is not only larger, but running a higher resolution as well.
